Deepspatial Joins Canada’s Biggest Trade Mission to India in 30 Years, Eyes Two Strategic Partnerships

Deepspatial joins Canada's largest trade delegation to India in over 30 years, with two strategic partnerships expected in Bengaluru on October 16, 2026.

13 October 2026•By Prachi Ahluwalia•Maharashtra

Deepspatial, a Canadian Geo-AI company that builds the AI infrastructure layer for government decision-making, today began its participation in the Team Canada Trade Mission to India in Mumbai.

Led by Canada’s Minister of International Trade, the Hon. Maninder Sidhu P.C., M.P. , the mission brings close to 300 Canadian business delegates to Mumbai and Bengaluru. Minister Sidhu has described it as the largest Canadian trade delegation to India in more than 30 years. The delegation spans aerospace, clean technologies and energy transition, information and communication technologies, life sciences and agri-food.

The mission comes at a pivotal moment for the relationship. Canada and India are working to conclude a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement by the end of the year, and both governments aim to double two-way trade to $70 billion a year by 2030, from $30.4 billion in goods and services in 2025. In announcing the mission, Minister Sidhu said that “India is building at enormous scale, and Canadian companies are ready to step up.”

In Mumbai, Dr. Rahul Kushwah, Founder and CEO, introduced Deepspatial to fellow Canadian technology companies at the mission’s ICT sector session. Over the coming days, the Deepspatial delegation will hold business meetings with Indian organisations, take part in the mission’s plenary session and the Canada–India Business Council’s Mumbai Business Forum, and join Minister Sidhu and Indian government and business leaders at the Team Canada reception.

Deepspatial’s platform helps governments decide where to build, where to grow and where to respond. This year, budget decisions for 25,000 schools, 2 million students and more than 100,000 teachers in India were made using the platform. The same core engine supports agriculture and food security, disaster and climate response, and infrastructure planning, with all data remaining within the country.

“India is where we built and proved our engine, and Canada is where it was born, so being part of this mission is a proud moment for Deepspatial (CSE: DSAI | OTCQB: DSAIF) ,” said Dr. Rahul Kushwah, Founder and CEO of Deepspatial. “As Canada and India move towards a trade agreement, there is a real opportunity for Canadian AI companies to grow with Indian partners. Mumbai is about meeting those partners. Bengaluru is about committing to them.” To meet the Deepspatial team in Mumbai on October 13 and 14, or in Bengaluru on October 16 and 17, please contact Saurabh Tyagi, Chief Marketing Officer, at saurabh@deepspatial.ai.

In India, Deepspatial was named a Leader of Change 2026 by The Times of India, and its edskNext platform won the BW Businessworld CDAIO Award 2026.
